Kristen @ Depaul University in Chicago
My name is Kristen. I am attending Depaul University in Chicago. With the incredible depth of exploitation that RFID/EM data transfer and authentication protocols have gone through in such a short time, and in somewhat surprising ways (the degree of the wireless behavior of magnetic swipe readers when subjected to a tightly controlled EM signal in close proximity), I'm beginning a research project to determine functional reason behind each currently known exploit as well as the specific domain along the relevant parameters that it remains valid for. (e.g.how does wireless interference affect the response when introduced to the swipe reader). I find hardware vulnerabilities to be really thrilling these days and with the new chips becoming almost ubiquitous overnight, I think it is important that there is solid, sourced, and researched information published on the minutia and nuance of all possible exploits.
Towards that end I'm currently looking to buy the Magspoof and the Chameleonmini RevG along with its enclosure.

Brock @ Purdue University
My name is Brock and I am a Computer & Information Technology masters student at Purdue University. My undergrad research was in network engineering and I am currently studying information security. Interesting projects include the hardening of security measures in an IoT agriculture monitoring system, analysis of network traffic from different IoT technologies such as Z-Wave, ZigBee, Lora/LoraWan, and narrow band.
